The Career Flow Collective

Hello [[contact.first_name|default: "there"]],

Last week, you began noticing your inner voice — how it speaks when things don’t go as planned, when you’re stressed, or when your energy is low.

This week, we take the next step:

We begin to shift that voice.

Self-compassion gives us a framework to become what many of us needed earlier in life - a steady, supportive voice that can name what’s happening without adding harshness or shame.

It doesn’t ignore mistakes.
It doesn’t pretend everything is fine.

Instead, it responds with honesty and care, grounding the moment in something deeper:

You’re human. You’re learning. You’re allowed to grow. And to be messy.

And in that shift, something important happens.

We create space to rewrite old patterns, and begin to edit how we want to show up instead.

Do small things with great love.
Eileen

P.S. Reminder, reserve your 1:1 session for this month.

Reflection

Take a few moments to revisit Week 1’s inner voice. Rewrite them in the voice of:

  • a mentor you admire,

  • a respected colleague, or

  • your future, grounded self.

As you do, reflect:

  • What tone or energy does this new voice carry?

  • How does it speak to your capability, growth, or potential rather than flaw or failure?

  • What feels different in your body when you hear this voice?

Practice

When self-criticism arises this week, pause.

Gently bring awareness to the moment.

You might place a hand on your heart or stomach,
or wrap your arms around yourself — creating a sense of support.

Then:

  1. Acknowledge what’s happening

  2. Validate your experience

  3. Respond using your supportive voice

You might say:

  • “This is feedback, not a flaw.”

  • “I can course-correct.”

  • “Every misstep strengthens mastery.”

Or create your own phrase that feels true and supportive.

End-of-week check-in:

  • How did using a “kind supportive voice” influence your engagement, focus, or presence today?

  • When did it feel natural? When did it feel more difficult?

Optional Reset Practice

Small resets throughout the day can gently restore energy. Here are three you can play throughout the month:

Breathwork
For a few moments, place a hand on your heart and breathe naturally. Feeling the gentle rise and fall of your breath.

As you breathe, silently repeat the phrase, “I am kind and gentle with myself.”

Movement
Have a mini dance party. Put on a favorite song and let your body move freely — no structure, no performance, just release.

Grounding
After completing a challenging task, gently say to yourself:

“I’ve done what I could here. Now I give myself a moment to rest.”

(You can always return to the Reset Practice Reference Guides here.)

Upcoming Dates

Your Restorative Group Session is scheduled for:
