The Career Flow Collective
|
Hello [[contact.first_name|default: "there"]],
Over the past two weeks, you’ve been noticing how your energy shifts across your roles… and experimenting with more flexible ways of showing up.
This week, we begin to anchor that flexibility.
Because balance doesn’t just come from adjusting in the moment. It comes from having something steady underneath you.
When flexibility isn’t supported, it can feel like uncertainty or overextension. But when it’s grounded in intention, it starts to feel like a choice.
This week is about strengthening that foundation so your ability to bend and shift feels stable, not shaky.
Do small things with great love. Eileen Murphy
P.S. If you haven’t already, reserve your 1:1 session for this month.

Take a few moments to reflect: Which skill, boundary, or mindset do you need to lean into this week to support balance? (e.g., saying no, delegating, asking for help, releasing perfectionism, pausing before reacting) Where do you notice tension or rigidity creeping in? What would a more grounded, flexible response look like in those moments?

Last week, you explored different ways of showing up in your roles.
This week let’s choose one strategy that feels both valuable and doable, and give it a bit more structure this week.
Plan Your Experiment Use a simple SMART approach to bring intention to your practice: Specific. What exactly will you try? Where in your day or week is this most likely to happen? What is the simplest version of this action? If you were to explain this to someone else, what would you say you’re trying?
Measurable. How will you recognize a shift in your flexibility, energy, or sense of balance? What would feel like a “win” for you? How will you know you stayed aligned with your intention? What would tell you, “that felt more like me”?
Achievable. How realistic is it for you to try this in the flow of your week? Does this feel supportive or does it feel like pressure? What might get in the way of following through? How can you make this easier or lighter? What version of this would feel doable even on a low-energy day?
Relevant. How does this support the way you want to show up in your work? Which of your values does this align with? What becomes possible if this shift sticks? How does this move you closer to your vision of career presence?
Time-Bound. Commit to trying it twice this week in a real scenario. As you move through this week, keep this in mind: You do not need to overhaul the way you work.
Often, one intention shift, practiced consistently is what creates lasting change.
Guided Inquiry After you try it, take a few minutes to journal: What was the situation? What strategy did you try? How did it shift your energy, focus, or sense of balance? What did you learn about your ability to stay flexible and grounded?
Optional How does focusing on one intentional action, rather than changing everything at once, support a more sustainable sense of balance in my work and presence?

Small reset practices to help regulate your nervous system. Here are three you can play throughout the month:
Breathwork Box breathing for 1-2 minutes. Inhale for 4 counts → Hold for 4 → Exhale for 4 → Hold for 4. You can draw a box in the air using your hand/finger or pen to paper - draw each side of a square for each breath segment.
Movement Get up and away. Take a solo mindful walk around your work station, office, or go outside. Pay attention to your feet hitting the ground, keeping your head up to look ahead. If you want to level-up your walk, ask yourself 3x “how [say your name] feeling?” and then ask 3x “what [say your name] do I need?”
Grounding Reframe urgency. Instead of saying “I don’t have time,” try “I’m prioritizing what matters most right now.” This shifts your focus, calms stress, and anchors you in what’s within your present control.
